Eligibility

The “Free to Escape” giveaway (herein after the “Giveaway”) is open to all persons legally residing in Canada. To be eligible, participants must have signed a lease for a minimum of 12 months at Lib Hymus or Lib Mont-Saint-Hilaire, between March 11, 2025, and June 30, 2026.  

Participants must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible.

The Giveaway is not open to employees of EMD-Batimo, to anyone living with them or living with a member of their immediate family. 

Prize

• The giveaway prize is a $3,000 travel credit.
• The winner will receive the prize directly at the Lib Hymus or Lib Mont-Saint-Hilaire complex. 

Drawing

The drawing to determine the winner of the Giveaway will take place on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the EMD-Batimo head office. The winner will be chosen randomly.

One winner will be drawn from the list of people who have signed a 12-month lease or longer at Lib Hymus or Lib Mont-Saint-Hilaire.

Each participant has one (1) chance of winning.

Awarding of the prize

To receive the prize, the winner must confirm their identity and email address. By accepting the prize, they authorize EMD-Batimo to publicly identify them by first name and place of residence. They also waive their right to further compensation.

After the drawing, the winner has 30 days to claim their prize from Groupe EMD-Batimo. After this deadline, Groupe EMD-Batimo reserves the right to hold a new drawing for the unclaimed prize. The winner will automatically forfeit their right to claim the prize and will not be eligible to participate in subsequent drawings. 

The prize must be claimed at the latest by September 3, 2026. 

Privacy

By entering the Giveaway, participants freely, knowingly, and expressly consent to the organizer collecting, using, and disclosing their personal information for the purposes of administering the Giveaway, verifying eligibility, communicating with participants, and awarding prizes, in accordance with the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector. Personal information will be retained only for as long as is necessary to fulfill these purposes.

Terms and Conditions

• • • The prize is non-transferable, and neither cash exchange nor prize substitution are permitted. 
    • The winner is responsible for any additional costs incurred, if applicable. 
    • EMD-Batimo reserves the right to cancel the selection of the winner and hold a new drawing if the winner does not respond to the company’s telephone calls or emails within five (5) calendar days of being notified of their win. 
    • If a participant fails to comply with any of these rules, they will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive any prizes. In such cases, EMD-Batimo reserves the right to randomly select another participant or cancel the prize at its sole discretion.
    • By entering the Giveaway, the confirmed winner authorizes EMD-Batimo and their representatives to use their name and/or photograph for advertising purposes, if necessary, without compensation.

    Note: These rules may change in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified of any changes by email or telephone. 

    This giveaway is not sponsored, administered, or associated with Facebook.

Disputes

Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a publicity giveaway may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for resolution. Disputes regarding the awarding of a prize may also be submitted to the Régie, but only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

This giveaway is subject to the applicable laws of the province of Quebec.
